I am so grateful to have spent this morning with my @bravelikegabe teammate and dear friend, Jen, running in a local 10k. Along the trail we met a woman who was telling us a little bit of her story as we ran. She shared she was coming back to running after having had a few surgeries the past couple of years. She said, “as I see it, this is something I get to do.”
I found myself running between two inspiring, resilient women.
One who is on the comeback after surgeries. And the other, my dear friend, who has cancer yet she seeks to make the best of every day and experience she gets.
I share this with you today because these two women’s stories inspire me, and I pray they inspire you too.
I invite you to join me to…
pause. breathe. pray.
I’m not saying we all need to run. Instead, let’s learn from these two women that our circumstances don’t need to determine our thoughts. Instead, may we pray that God help lift our thoughts above our circumstances so that we lives filled with gratitude and appreciation for all we get to do, just as they are both doing.
With love and hope,
Shawn
