Being given the news that my scans were clear and I continue to be NED is a reminder to me that being alive and healthy is a gift.
I have a choice in that truth, I can choose to live for myself or live to build others up and help those who need it.
I pray to live each day choosing the latter.
One way I am choosing to do this is to continue #runningonhope to fund research for a cure for ACC.
Recently I went to a meeting with my ACC family and although the researchers are making strides, there is still a ways to go.
To support our ACC family, I am excited to share @jenbeth1979 @kylee.j.uden and I will be running again with @bravelikegabe, a half-marathon at the @grandmasmarathon in Minnesota in June to continue to raise money for rare cancer research.
All the money I personally fundraise will go to @theaccrf and directly to funding ACC research.
If you would like to contribute, please check out the link in my bio. Every dollar matters, and no amount to is small.
Our ACC family is deeply grateful for any support💕🙏💕
With gratitude and hope,
Shawn
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. - Hebrews 12:1-2
