Kate, Gavin and Matt had an amazing time surfing for the first time.

It wasn’t easy.

It wasn’t comfortable.

It wasn’t perfect.

It took facing an unknown.

It took falling.

It took getting back up.

It took patience.

It took determination.

It took perseverance.

It took time.

It took effort.

It took hope.

And eventually they each ended up catching multiple waves.

It was awesome to watch!

I share this with you today as a reminder that the inner work matters.

May we remember our challenges are also opportunities to refine us within. Whatever it is we are working towards, may we remain determined, persevere, get back up after any “falls,” be patient with the process, put forth the effort needed and have hope, in time, we will see progress, as my kids did.
